Notice is hereby given that the undersigned, School Trustee of Monroe Township in Putnam County, Indiana will sell, at Public Auction, on the grounds, the school lot and the buildings located thereon, known as and called the “Brick Chapel School,” in School District No 6 of said township. The said real estate to be so sold, ,with the school building and outhouses thereon is situated in Putnam County, Indiana and described as follows, towit: A part of the northwest quarter of Section 28, Township 15 North, Range 4 West bounded as follows, towit: commencing at the southwest corner of the northwest quarter of said Section 28 and running thence north, 2.50 chains to the church lot; thence east, 4 chains with the south line of the church lot; thence south, 2.50 chains to the south line of said quarter section; thence west, 4 chains to the place of beginning, excepting therefrom, a strip of ground 2 rods wide off of the south side thereof taken up by the public highway. Said sale will be for cash in hand and for not less than 2/3 of the appraised value thereof. Sale will begin at 2 o’clock p.m. on Monday the 8th day of May, 1922. ASHTON L. “Somerset” news – in the basketball game played at Brick Chapel by the Brick Chapel team against the Manhattan team, the score resulted 24 to 0 in favor of Brick Chapel.  Brick Chapel also played the Bainbridge Independents the same day and the game resulted in a score of 17 to 12 in favor of Brick Chapel. Quite a crowd was out to witness the two games.
